I use art, movement and traditional talk therapy to help people visualize their potential. I have never met a young person that did not possess a special gift. I have never met an adult incapable of setting positive intentions. Identifying and cultivating this will always be my goal.

About Me

I'm a licensed therapist in Massachusetts and have been working here and in Tennessee for the past eleven years. I started my career in the milieu implementing behavioral therapies to juvenile sex offenders in a residential treatment center in Tennessee. I finished a bachelor in fine art (BFA) and a bachelor in science (BS) from Middle Tennessee State University before deciding counseling services is my passion. I moved to Boston, MA to attend Lesley University where I earned my Master of Counseling and Expressive Arts Therapies.

Since then I have worked as a therapist and case manager in the elementary school school system developing strategies so children can be successful in the home and in school. I focused on ADHD, trauma, and behavioral issues. I have worked on two acute adult psychiatric units focusing on addiction, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, and psychosis. I then started working with the Department of Youth Services. I provided counseling to young men detained for violent offenses and who have experienced long term community violence. I am currently working for the Integrated Center for Child Development. I am working with the organization to help children and families meet their potential through outpatient therapy. I also manage a private practice that is currently using Telehealth services for young people and adults to work on anxiety, depression, difficult life situations, and improving relationships.

My specialties include art therapy, behavioral therapies, mindfulness, and trauma informed care. I'm an avid fabric artist and enjoying using crochet and weaving to clear my mind from a busy day. I enjoy being outside and have started hiking. Learning new ways to be mindful and find calmness have been my priority for this year but I am also a person trying to maintain balance through life and family. I use a strength based approach in therapy and can help set positive, realistic, compassionate goals for you just as I do for myself.
